Our Warranty Policy
We provide a manufacturer’s warranty on all our items for 12 months from date of purchase, this is for personal use. Our Mamas & Papas Strollers & Furniture come with a 24 month manufacturer’s warranty.
The manufacturer’s warranty covers manufacturing faults and does not apply to normal wear and tear which is to be expected over the course of ownership. The warranty also does not cover wilful damage or abuse.
This guarantee policy is a "back to base” policy, i.e. the product must be returned to our store at 2/10 Cryers Road, East Tamaki, Auckland. The product and issue in question will be reviewed and a refund, repair, replacement or credit will be given at the discretion of The Kids Dept.
Our warranties are only valid to the original purchaser and do not cover any transportation costs.
Where a product is returned to The Kids Dept under the guarantee or return policy the following fees and or charges will not be reimbursed:
- Delivery charged from The Kids Dept
- Cost of return of the product to The Kids Dept

Timber Products
As timber is a natural product it will have natural blemishes, these cannot be avoided and are used to enhance the look of the products. With our cots they aren't as visible as they are generally painted or foil wrapped.
Timber will continue to contract and expand throughout the year as it adjusts to its surroundings, you may notice this reaction in your home and it is totally natural for your product as it's natural timber not a man made material. Every effort has been made to reduce this visually, but you may notice hairline cracks in the grooves of the product over time.
